My training began in 2000, where I gained a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy. In 2022, I gained a OCN Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Supervision.
During my training, I have worked and expanded my experience as a volunteer counsellor in schools, for a mental health charity and a charity supporting female survivors who had experienced any form of sexual violence. These areas have given me a deep understanding and experience of working with a variety of issues, particularly effecting women: child sexual abuse, depression, self-harm, addictions, eating issues, trauma and sexual identity.
I hold a qualification as an ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) and have a special interest working with women who have experienced trauma. I will work with you to provide practical and emotional support.
My areas of specialism include abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, DID, divorce, loss, low mood, post-traumatic stress, self harm, sexual violence, stress, suicidal feelings, trauma, self esteem, relationships and work related issues.
I offer a warm welcome in a safe, caring and supportive space. Enabling you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting without judgement.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
As well as extensive experience with client work, I have
supervised and facilitated groups and taught trainees and qualified therapists.
I have extensive knowledge and experience of marketing and advertising.
